The cold days are back

I just couldn't resist to share these pics taken today. Isn't Felix gorgeous? He was lying in the front garden of the house enjoying the last sun rays in this cold Sundayafternoon. It seems it's time to light the fireplace and watch the bright red of the flame and listen to the sound of the wood burning. Yes, this is why I like Winter so much, sitting in front of the fireplace, reading a good book and have all my cats around me....well most of them on top of me helping with my reading ;-)))

The homepage is updated

Well today I took some time to work in the homepage. Finally it is updated with new pictures of all our cats, the plans are now in order and new links were added and some were updated.

We have no news from Lju and Xazul's mating, they are still in the get to know you fase. It seems that Lju has lost her heat which is normal when a female goes into a new place surrounded by new scents and a new cat. Let's hope her heat comes back soon.

Iris was mated and it's still to soon to know whether she is pregnant, I will know so around the first week of December. If so the babies are due between the 17th and 22nd January.

Kunjara still shows no signs of heat. The temperature is lower now and the nights are getting colder and maybe this will do the trick and gets my beautiful princess in the mood for love.

Finally some good news

I seem to have no time for the internet these days. Since school has started, I'm trying to update the homepage and the blog, but I've never felt this tired.

It seems that the long car trips, the huge amount of papers and documents to produce at school have drained all my energy. Well, but enough complaints.
Today I have some great news, finally someone decided that it's time to have babies. Iris and Felix are in love again and since last Saturday, they have started a new "love row", so, probably, we are expecting little furry babies in January.

Unfortunately neither Kunjara nor Ghost felt the calling of nature yet. I blame it on this horrible weather we are having here in Portugal. It's very odd for this time of the year temperatures of 23ÂșC during the day. It's too hot, too damp and it doesn't stop raining. It's seems that we're living in a tropical climate and so the cats get affected. Their coat has started to grow, but not their mood for mating.

Lju was in heat last weekend so we took her to a friend's cattery and we are waiting for the good news. So I guess Ghost's mating will have to be postponed because we don't want so many little kittens at once. For now Iris we'll be the first, then Lju(I hope) and then Kunjara. But plans, well, you know how they go....
